Welcome to The Reader Writes, my second blog, a space for my writing about life, the universe, and everything. After four years of writing EatReadSleep.com, I decided to keep all of my book reviews on that site, but transfer more personal posts to this one.

I am a collection development librarian for children and teens’ materials, an avid reader, a Christian, and a woman with more than half a century of observation and experience tucked away. Life is sometimes hilarious, but other times we all go through grief and pain, and unfortunately, our current times deserve serious scrutiny.

I’ve been married for 36 years, have a grown son, whom I homeschooled until college, and I’ve lived all up and down the east coast, mostly in the southeast. I started graduate school at age 47, and I still look forward to a full life in the future, so call me Grandma Moses– although I am not a grandma yet! It’s never too late to pursue your dreams, even if they are brand-new dreams.
